BlackBerry Bold Coming to Japan

The Bold will leverages DoCoMo's high-speed 3G and HSDPA networks to offer phone, email, messaging, organizer and web browsing applications.

It integrates a newly designed QWERTY keyboard, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi, and an optional 2.0-megapixel camera and media player. It also includes the new BlackBerry Media Sync application to synchronize iTunes music with the smartphone.

"The BlackBerry Bold smartphone houses a comprehensive suite of new features as well as the traditional functionality of the BlackBerry platform that users have come to know," said Mr. Ryuji Yamada, CEO of DoCoMo. "We're pleased to announce plans for DoCoMo to bring it to Japan."

The BlackBerry Bold will be showcased at CEATEC Japan 2008 from September 30 to October 4, 2008.
